As a project for a graphic design class, I reimagined the existing brand identity for a local nonprofit, Cinderellas' Closet.

Cinderella’s Closet is a northern Kentucky-based non profit organization which provides prom dresses, makeup, and accessories for high school girls in need of financial assistance to cover the cost of prom.

Objectives

• Redesign the brand to both embody the values and goals of the organization while also appealing to its target market.

• Learn and apply the fundamentals of brand design and application.

Research

In order to understand the basis of the brand, I first researched the basic brand identity and presence, logo mark, target market, history, competitors, and mission statement. I then listed things I wanted to improve on, and constructed a basic mood board for the identity redesign.

Concepts:

I began by hand sketching several basic ideas for a new logo mark, and then moving into Illustrator to experiment and ideate on those concepts. I also began experimenting with different color schemes.

Digital Concepts:

Refined Ideas

Based on the feedback of my peers, I selected three of the best concepts, and continued to refine them from there.

Final Logomark:

Initial Brand Application

After selecting the logomark, I continued to build out the brand identity by creating different possible applications and touchpoints for the brand.

Final Brand Book:

Below are a few pages from the brand book which details the overall brand identity and applications of the revised brand.
